The crabgrass control lasts up to four months and will only break down in warm weather. This means you can put it on early in the season without having to worry about the exact timing.
The extended-release fertilizer feeds up to three months and has iron and sulfur added for our Midwestern soils. Iron will give a lawn its deep green color without making it grow fast. The secret is having the soil pH low enough so that the iron will be used by the lawn. Too high of a pH and it is useless. Sulfur lowers the pH so the iron will do its job.
